HV71's great weekend continued - won clearly against Modo

It can swing fast during a hockey weekend.

Before the double meeting with HV71, Modo was ahead of the SDHL table.

Two matches later, it looks different.

HV71 won last Saturday with 3-0 and followed up the victory with a new show on Sunday.

18-year-old great talent Thea Johansson gave the Jönköping team the lead halfway into the first period and after that there was not much to do for Modo.

Plastered to the numbers

Six different goal scorers ensured that HV71 scored another six unanswered goals in the first two periods.

In the third period, Modo trimmed to the numbers with two goals and HV71's victory numbers were 7-2.

Earlier in the day, league-leading Luleå clearly won against the last Gothenburg.

Norrbotten led 4-0 after the first period and eventually won 9-3 - much thanks to Noora Tulus' four goals.

For Gothenburg, the cancer cycle in the SDHL thus continues.

The team is clearly last in the table and has lost all 15 matches.
