The All Japan University Women's Ekiden was held in Sendai City, and Meijo University in Aichi Prefecture won the second consecutive title in history with a time of 2 hours 2 minutes 59 seconds.

This year's 39th tournament was contested in 6 sections of Sendai City, 38.1 km, with a total of 26 teams from 25 schools nationwide and Tohoku Gakuren selected teams participating in the open.



At Meijo University, Yuma Yamamoto took the lead in the 1st ward, and Tomomi Musembi Takamatsu, a 4th grader, broke his own section record for 19 seconds in the 2nd ward.



Yuna Wada, a 4th grader in the 3rd ward, kept the top position as it was, and Nanaboshi Tanimoto, a 1st grader in the 4th ward, also widened the gap with the 2nd place by running a new section record.



Narumi Kobayashi showed a stable run in the 5th ward, and Yuka Masubuchi set a new section record in the final 6th ward.



Meijo University connected the top sashes from the 1st ward to the final 6th ward, and achieved the 5th straight victory of the second school in history with a time of 2 hours 2 minutes 59 seconds.



2nd place is Daito Bunka University, 3rd place is Takushoku University, 4th place is Ritsumeikan University, 5th place is Nippon Sport Science University, 6th place is Osaka Gakuin University, 7th place is Josai University, 8th place is Matsuyama University. Up to 8th place got the right to participate next year.
