The 31-year-old left Malmö during the 2018-19 season to sign for Örebro.
The last two seasons, the defender has worn the captain's armband, but now the club announces that they are going their separate ways.
"We have had a dialogue with Stefan for some time and after these talks we have agreed on a termination of his contract at the club", says Johansson and continues:
"Stefan's season has not been as he or we wanted, which means that we have now chosen to go our separate ways."
On Monday, Örebro will announce who will take over the captain's armband.
Djurgården also breaks with a player.
It is the Canadian forward Matt Lorito who has to leave after 14 games where he accounted for two goals and four assists.
