The crisis of the Algerian women's team ends in Khartoum

The Algerian Football Federation revealed that the women's team stuck in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, will return to the country today, Saturday, on board the state-owned Air Algerie plane.

The federation said on its official website that after intensive contacts, especially with its president, Sharafeddine Amara, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Algerian diplomatic representation in Khartoum, a happy end to the crisis of the women's team, which will return to Algeria on Saturday, has been reached.

The Algerian team had landed in Khartoum about a week ago, in anticipation of facing its counterpart Sudan last Tuesday, in the second leg of the first round of qualifiers for the African Nations Cup finals scheduled for next year in Morocco.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) decided to postpone the match against the backdrop of the rapid political developments in Sudan.

It is noteworthy that the Algerian national team won the first leg 14-0.
