Reserve team coach Sergi Barjuan led Barcelona just days after his patience ran out with Ronald Koeman.

The second straight loss in La Liga, 0-1 away against Rayo Vallecano earlier this week, was Koeman's last match at work.

A tenth place in La Liga after ten matches is not enough.

Sergi Barjuan leads the team to a replacement found.

But it hardly got better without Koeman.

With the scoreboard showing that 52 minutes had been played, Memphis Depay nearly put themselves up another goal after Alaves came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save.

But the cold shower came almost immediately.

Two minutes later, Luis Rioja was able to equalize after running through the home defense and wall play forward with Joselu to a free position.

Memphis Depay was then a pole shot from becoming a two-goal shooter.

As additional salt on the Barcelona wounds, midfielder Gerard Piqué was injured in the second half.

Striker Sergio Aguero was also forced to leave the pitch in the first half.

John Guidetti got to see the whole match from the Alaves bench.
