Gotland Grand National - the world's largest enduro competition - with over 3000 starters, wants to break the male dominance.

Today, the starting field consists of 95 percent men and only about 100 women.

Now the organizer is really raising the bar together with seven partners to get more ladies to the competition.

The winner in this year's women's class will win SEK 25,000, the same as the men's first prize.

Until 2024, the prize pool will be increased gradually for both ladies and men.

- We want to attract the best ladies and gentlemen in the world to Gotland and GGN.

The Swedish elite ladies will have as good competition as possible and our girls on the youth side will have the opportunity to see the best enduro girls on site, Conny Bohlin continues.

Six female influencers will also run GGN in girls' and women's classes.

The goal is to show that enduro is a good form of exercise for exercisers.

- We will follow them from their training until they have driven and passed GGN 2021.

Gotland Grand National will be decided this year 28-30 October at Tofta Shooting Range outside Visby.
