Czech Martin and Swiss Ariane win the Hero Dubai Hatta Championships

Czech Martin Stosk and Swiss Arian Luthi won the second edition of the "Hero Dubai Hatta" race, one of the three rounds of the "Hero" World Mountain Bike Championship Series, which is one of the most important championships of the International Cycling Union, and was held under the auspices of Dubai Holding and in partnership with the Dubai Council The athlete is located in Wadi Hub, Hatta.

This championship witnessed a significant increase in the number of participants by 90% over the previous version, thanks to its synchronization with the activities of Expo 2020, which brings the world together in Dubai under the slogan (Connecting Minds and Creating the Future), where the number of contestants reached more than 700 cyclists of different nationalities.

The Secretary-General of the Dubai Council, Saeed Hareb, and the President of the Cycling Federation, Mansour Bouasaiba, crowned the winners, in the presence of Khalifa bin Dray, CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Nasser Aman Al Rahma, Assistant Secretary-General of the Dubai Council, Mohammed Al Kaabi from Dubai Municipality, and Muhammad Musa from Zabeel Office.

Martin Stoske won first place in the professional category after completing the 60-kilometre race in 2:03:07 hours, and Aryan in the women's professional category in 2:40:47 hours.

The Dubai Hero Hatta Race is the only mountain bike race in the Middle East organized by the International Cycling Union in Dubai, in which participants from 41 countries from different continents of the world compete, taking an unforgettable adventure between the mountains of Hatta.

The

participants competed in three categories for men and women: the professional category for a distance of 60 km, the category for members of clubs and federations for a distance of 60 and 18 km, and the amateur category for distances of 60 and 18 km. The participants in the professional category during the race reached a height of 1600 meters above the ground. From 200 children in the children’s category from 4 to 14 years old, where children from 4 to 6 years old competed on a track that extended for a distance of 600 metres, and children between 7 to 11 years competed on a track that extended for a distance of 1,600 metres, while children from the age of 12 competed To 14 years on a track that spanned a distance of 3,200 meters.
