Calgary's goalkeeper Jacob Markström shows good form at the start of this year's NHL season.

In his last three matches, the 31-year-old has only conceded a goal of 107 shots against him - a save percentage of 99.1 percent.

- He has saved our pork a few times too much in recent matches.

He is of course one of the best goalkeepers I have ever played with, says forward Johnny Gaudreau, who scored Calgary's first goal last night, at the press conference after the match.

Coach Darryl Sutter agrees with the tribute.

- Our goalkeeper was outstanding, he answers the question what was behind the victory.

"Pure trip"

A humble Markström himself tones down his effort and calls the most startling rescues "pure luck", but he rejoices in the victory and sends praise back to Johnny Gaudreau.

- It is fantastic.

We got a fantastic goal from Johnny and then we defended well the rest of the match.

In the third, we knew we had to play at the top, and we did and got some goals with us as well, he says.

- It was a team effort.

Lindholm speechless

Teammate Elias Lindholm, who is at the top of Calgary's shooting range, was goalless last night, but Calgary Swedes Oliver Kylington and Mikael Backlund stayed ahead and fit together until 2-0, which was set by Blake Coleman at the beginning of the third period.

Kylington also got an assist in the lead to 3-0, barely ten minutes later.

Teammate Milan Lucic then punctured the match by placing 4-0 on his own shortly afterwards.

Calgary now have a five-game winning streak and lead the NHL's so-called Pacific Division just ahead of Edmonton.
