“Haland Al-Masry” refuses to play for the French national team and chooses “Mother of the World” (video)

The young Egyptian striker, Bilal Mazhar, a professional in the Greek club Panathinaikos, nicknamed "Haaland Al-Masry", refused to represent the French national team last year, preferring to play in the name of his country Egypt, at a time when he holds both French and Egyptian nationalities.

Mazhar said, in statements carried by the Al-Masry Championships website, on the channel "On Time Sports 2": "I play in the Ras Al-Spear center, and I have scored 7 goals with my team and made a goal so far," explaining: "The French Federation contacted me to join its national team last year, I respect their desire, but I dream of playing with the first Egyptian national team, which has not made any contact between me and its officials so far.”

He continued, "The experience of Omar Marmoush gave me a motivation to strive and be with the Egyptian national team. My idol is our professional Mohamed Salah, and I hope to be like him and be in the English Premier League."

And whether he negotiated with Al-Ahly or Zamalek, Bilal Mazhar said: “There was a talk from Al-Ahly and Zamalek while I was in Egypt, but I chose to professionalize in Europe and join the Greek Panathinaikos, and focus on professionalism in order to continue for the longest period in Europe.”

On the reason for calling him “Haland Al-Masry”, he said: “There is talk about me in Greece that I resemble Haaland in his game, but I do not focus on this talk, my focus is only on the field.”
