Shortly before the first break signal, Rögle's 19-year-old full-back William Wallinder sent off the puck that resulted in the only goal of the opening period.

Wallinder revealed in a break interview with C More that he trained extra in shooting.

- I have worn a lot after the training, it gives results, said the young goal scorer.

Can an equalizing team get a better chance than playing five against three for two minutes?

In the second period, Oskarshamn was awarded just such a position, without succeeding in creating a single goal chance worth the name.

- We do well, we keep them on the outside, said Rögle's defender Erlend Lesund to C More.

Sweaty for Rifalk

Oskarshamn's coach Martin Filander did not express the same satisfaction over the sequence with games five against three.

- It was not good, he stated in a break interview in C More.

When Oskarshamn took the step up in the SHL in the spring of 2019, Jonas Engström was, then as now, team captain.

Another of Oskarshamn's qualifying heroes at the time was goalkeeper Christoffer Rifalk, now in Rögle's box.

7.12 into the third period, the two met in a duel where Engström pulled the longest straw.

Victory goal by Larsson

Jonas Engström's 1-1 goal seemed to increase Oskarshamn's energy.

The home players, cheered by boiling stands, created goal chances that made Christoffer Rifalk sweat in his bag.

But continued tie on the scoreboard after 60 minutes of ice hockey.

The extension was 2.08 long.

Then Rögle's Ludvig Larsson stepped forward and became the match hero for his team by putting the winning puck, 2-1.

Both teams are currently in their respective top six places in the limping SHL table.
