$800,000 in prizes for the Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Championship

The Emirates Jiu-Jitsu Federation announced the presentation of a bouquet of huge cash prizes amounting to a total of 800,000 dollars, about three million dirhams, to the winners of the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship.

The thirteenth edition of the championship will be launched under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, from 14 to 19 November at Jujitsu Arena in Zayed Sports City in the capital, Abu Dhabi. It is expected that the competitions will have the participation of more than 4,000 male and female players from more than 90 countries around the world in the junior, senior and master categories to compete for the titles of the different weight categories.

Participants in the adult black belt category win total cash prizes of up to $126,000, with winners receiving $3,000, 5,000 and 10,000 thousand dollars for the first three places, while brown belt winners get total prizes of more than $73,000, where the winners will receive $1,500, 3,000 and $6,000 for the same places. The cash prize for the men’s first masters category, in which black belt holders over the age of thirty participate, is distributed between 1,500, 3,000 and 6,000 US dollars for the first three places.

As for the female players participating in the women's category, they will receive cash prizes ranging from 1,500, 3,000 and 6,000 US dollars for the first three places.
