The Korean short track team, who participated in the first round of the Short Track World Cup in a chaotic atmosphere, had a disappointing result from the final of the first race.

Choi Min-jung, who was running in front of the women's 1,500m finish line, and Kim Ji-yu, 2nd place, both fell during a physical fight.

Lee Yu-bin, who was running in 3rd place, won the gold medal, but exposed a problem in teamwork.

Choi Min-jung, Kim Ji-yu and Lee Yu-bin advanced side by side in the women's 1,500m final of the first short track World Cup short track World Cup held at Capital Indoor Stadium in Beijing, China.

The three runners conserved their stamina in the back, but with two laps left at the finish line, they accelerated and ran side by side for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.

The three players seemed to be able to sweep the medals with ease by widening the gap with the fourth place, but at the last corner before the finish line, Ji-Yoo Kim forced into the in-course and collided with Min-Jeong Choi, and both players fell.

Lee Yoo-bin, who was in third place, was the first to avoid the collision and crossed the finish line to win the gold medal, but did not win silver or bronze medals.

The referee issued a yellow card saying that Ji-Yu Kim played a dangerous game, and Min-Jung Choi finished the game in 6th place.

Ahead of this event, the short track team was in a chaotic atmosphere due to suspicions of an intentional collision in the women's 1,000m final at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics.

Choi Min-jung, who was mentally shocked, participated in this competition, but a crash occurred from the first final stage.

Qualifications for the 2022 Beijing Olympics will be allocated to each country according to the results of the 1st~4th World Cup.

There is no need for athletes from the same country to compete for medal colors, as individual athletes are not given the right to compete.
