Swedish chances?

Sweden goes to Sölden with six skiers, four ladies and two men (see the squad below).

-

Sara Hector

was on the podium once last year and both she and others probably wanted more when she had such a start to the season.

But then it did not last all the way.

A top 10 position for her in Sölden would have been a hugely good start to get.

-

Estelle Alphand

was a strong card before but then it has come off for her.

She was there and had a pretty tough and brutal riding style, which is why I held her very high.

Now she has to prove herself again to get back to that level.

-

Mattias Rönngren

has absolute qualities.

But it's rock hard up there at the top.

It will be tough if Rönngren is to take the position Matts Olsson had before he got off the train.

Then we had podium chances, now it is points chances we can hope for.

Favorites?

Ladies:

-

Marta Bassino

(Italy) won in Sölden last year and the entire World Cup in giant slalom with

Mikaela Shiffrin

(USA) behind her.

I see Italian as a favorite.

Men:

- It was an interesting last year's season and it is not obvious now who ends up at the top.

Alexis Pinturault

(France),

Marco Odermatt

(Switzerland) and

Filip Zubcic

(Croatia) were so even.

But it is clear that there is a possibility that someone can raw on them.

Lucas Braathen

(Norway) won in Sölden last year and is very interesting, and will be back now after the knee injury that spoiled last season.

It will also be interesting to see what it looks like for

Aleksander Aamodt Kilde

(Norway).

Audience back

- It feels no matter how nice that it is running again and that the audience is in place in Sölden.

We will see where the winter goes after that and how other countries do with audiences, but it feels good that we get a start like this, says Tobias Hellman.
