The all-around final in the Japanese Kitakyushu was decided all the way to the absolute end.

Daiki Hashimoto, the Olympic champion in all-around, needed to get a high score in the last branch after Boheng Zhang sat in a good position with his finish - despite a small miss at the end.

Japan impressed but in the final landing he lost his balance slightly.

It became crucial.

Hashimoto was only 17 thousandths behind Boheng Zhang who thus took gold in his World Cup debut with 87,981 points.

 - Had he pinched the landing, he would have won, what a sick thing.

What kind of sport is it ?, says Veronica Wagner about Hashimoto's end.

Third was the Ukrainian Ilya Kovtun.

The World Cup in artistic gymnastics continues tomorrow and will be broadcast on SVT and SVT Play.
