The Swedish national football team took another important victory in the World Cup qualifiers.

It was 1-0 away against Ireland and Sweden now tops the group.

However, the win against Ireland was far in the future and SVT Sports' expert believes that the players have more to give than was shown today.

- I am very happy with the defensive.

Ilestedt and Eriksson make a good match.

Offensively, however, there is more to be desired.

They make many simple mistakes and should have closed the match earlier as Sweden is better.

"Thought it was noticed"

Sweden came into play without two important pieces: Kosovars Asllani and Caroline Seger.

- I thought it was noticed sometimes.

(Fridolina) Rolfö came in and recorded an offensive midfielder and flashed at times.

(Filippa) Angeldahl made a good match, but it got shaky in the end and it was clear that Asllani and Seger were missing.

Johannesson believes that Ireland made a good match, which made it difficult for Sweden.

He is not surprised that the qualifying table looks like it does.

- It is expected.

I had expected more goals from Sweden (6-0 in goal difference).

In the future, the expert wants a Sweden that continues to control the defensive, but moves faster in the offensive.

Sweden will face Scotland in a training international match on Tuesday.

The match is broadcast on SVT24 / Play starting 20.05.
