The goal scored by the Plymouth Argyle team, amid heavy rain pools in the stadium, against Bolton Wanderers, in the English Premier League, received millions of views on the communication sites.

A video clip published by one of those present in the stands showed the players of both teams falling after a quick counterattack from the middle of the field. Despite the empty goal, the Argyle players did not succeed in scoring the goal until after 3 attempts inside the penalty area to stop the ball because of the water and not entering the goal.

And the official account of the English leagues published the clip via Twitter, and commented on it, saying, “The Puskas award for the year 2021/2021 will go to ..”, referring to the goal’s entitlement to the FIFA Goal of the Year award.

For his part, the team’s account celebrated that goal, as a video clip documented the moments of the players celebrating it, by crawling next to the touch line, where they appeared as if they were swimming in a pool of water.

The match ended with Argyll winning 3-0;
