In the semifinals of the Asian Champions League, which drew attention as the so-called 'East Coast Derby', Pohang defeated Ulsan at the end of a penalty shootout and reached the final for the first time in 12 years.

Pohang, which has been holding Ulsan's ankle at every important moment, has achieved a dramatic victory this time as well.

Ulsan was the first to break the 'balance of zero', but in the 7th minute of the second half, goalkeeper Lee Jun couldn't catch Yoon Bitgaram's ground cross, so Yoon Il-rok pushed it in from the front door.

However, Ulsan faced a bad news in the 23rd minute of the second half as Won Doo-jae was sent off for a rough tackle.

Ulsan, which was at a disadvantage in numbers, put in a lot of defenders except for Barco, Lee Dong-kyung, and Oh Se-hun to prevent conceding, but Pohang showed the potential to score a dramatic equalizer at the last minute.

In the 44th minute of the second half, Grant's long header jumped high from a free kick situation, and he was revived as a goalkeeper.

Both teams could not decide the best in overtime and eventually went to a penalty shootout, but this first kick was painful for Ulsan.

The kick of the first kicker Bluetooth was ridiculously above the crossbar, and Pohang defeated Ulsan 5-4 as all five kicks shook the net.

It is the first time in 12 years that Pohang has advanced to the final since 2009, when they won their first championship.

Pohang, which defeated the 'defending champion' Ulsan, will face off against Al Hilal on the 23rd of next month for the championship in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
