At home against Dinamo Kiev, Barcelona took their first three points in this autumn's group game in the Champions League.

The Spanish big club had previously started with losses against both Bayern Munich (0-3) and Benfica (0-3).

Now it ended 1-0 at Camp Nou after a goal by Gerard Piqué.

In the second wave after a corner, left-back Jordi Alba hit a post that reached the center-back, and with his right foot he pushed in the goal that became decisive.

In addition to winning the match, Piqué Barça became the oldest goal scorer in the Champions League.

With his 34 years and 260 days, he took over the record from Sylvinho who was 34 years and 241 days when in 2008 he also netted against a Ukrainian opposition, Shakhtar Donetsk.

Barcelona are now third in their group halfway into the group stage with one win and two losses.

The club also has half-baked results so far in the league, seventh in the table with one loss and three draws after eight rounds played.
