The Dubai Running Challenge, one of the most prominent events of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, will return to Sheikh Zayed Road again next November 26, to provide the opportunity for community members of different ages and runners of all nationalities and physical abilities, to experience a unique experience that turns Sheikh Zayed Road into an open track. Running, as part of the annual tradition that achieved great success during its past two sessions, with the participation of tens of thousands of Dubai residents and visitors, to confirm the extent of community awareness of the importance of exercising, and to enhance Dubai's trends to be the most active and best city in the world to live.

The third edition of the "Dubai Running Challenge" is expected to attract tens of thousands of participants, whether on the five-kilometre long track specially designed for families, or on the 10-kilometre track dedicated to professional and amateur runners, knowing that the race competitions will start in front of The Museum of the Future, passing through a number of famous landmarks, such as the Emirates Towers and Downtown Dubai, all the way to the finish line on Future Street near the Dubai World Trade Center.

In addition, participants on the 10-kilometre course will enjoy additional distinctive views, such as: The Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard.

This major community sporting event comes at a time when Dubai hosts a number of sporting events held during October and November, allowing those wishing to participate in the challenge to prepare well, as they can participate in the Dubai Academic City Running Race, the Dubai South Race, and the "Dubai South" race. For his part, the Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council, Saeed Hareb, said: “The (Running Challenge) has become a key event within the activities of the (Dubai Fitness Challenge 30 x 30), and thousands of fans of sports and physical activity in general and running in particular, are waiting for it to draw a wonderful competitive painting. With it, Sheikh Zayed Road will become the largest running track, confirming that Dubai is the most active city in the world.”
