Al-Ahly of Egypt wastes its progress and draws with the Niger champion

Al-Ahly of Egypt lost its lead in front of its host, the National Guard, the champion of Niger, and tied it 1-1 during the match that brought them together today, Saturday, in the first leg of the 32nd round of the African Champions League.

Al-Ahly advanced with a goal scored by Ali Maaloul in the 19th minute from a penalty kick, and Gabriella Douri equalized for the National Guard team in the 75th minute.

Al-Ahly needs to win any result or a negative tie only in the return match that will be held in Egypt next week to advance to the round of 16 (groups), while the National Guard needs to win any result or draw 2/2 or more to qualify for the next round.
