The group game in the Champions Hockey League became a Swedish success story where all five SHL teams moved on from the group game and in a month the round of 16 finals will begin.

Admittedly, no Swedish teams were drawn against each other, but it will still be something of a Swedish meeting in the form of Rögle against Rikard Grönborg-trained ZSC Lions.

Skellefteå was drawn against Sparta Prague and in a possible quarter-final, the winner awaits between Rögle and ZSC Lions.

Leksand will face Klagenfurt and can face Frölunda in their quarter-final victory.

Then, however, Frölunda, who last won the tournament, must defeat German Adler Mannheim in the round of 16.

On the other side of the playoff tree, Växjö was drawn against Finnish Tappara.
