Formula 1 announces a tentative schedule of 23 races for the 2022 season

Today, Friday, F1 officials revealed the tentative schedule for the 2022 season, as there are attempts to organize 23 races in one year.

Formula 1 officials have stated that this season will start on March 20 in Bahrain and end in Abu Dhabi on November 29.

The officials added that due to the circumstances of the Corona virus pandemic, China will not be on the calendar of the 2022 races.

Miami is set to host the Grand Prix for the first time on May 8, when it will be the first of two races to be held in America.

The Miami Grand Prix still needs FIA approval.

Besides America, Italy will be the second country to host two races, with the Emilia Roman Grand Prix at Imola on April 24 and the Italian Grand Prix at Monza on September 11.

"We are excited to announce the 2022 agenda as we prepare to usher in a new era for the sport with new rules and cars for next year that are designed to create close-knit racing," said Stefano Domenicali, Formula 1 CEO.

Since 2020, Formula 1 has been trying to set a record racing calendar.

This will happen in 2021 by organizing 22 races, instead of organizing the 23 races that were initially planned to be held.

The 2021 agenda has been revised several times throughout the year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The 2022 edition is expected to see major changes to the sport's technical regulations.
