Tottenham Hotspur attacker Steven Bergwijn seems fit again after a month of injury, just in time for the Conference League match with Vitesse next Thursday.

The Dutchman may already make his return on Sunday in the Premier League game against Newcastle United.

"Steven rejoined us yesterday," Tottenham manager Nuno said at a press conference on Friday.

"He is fully training with the group again and has no pain."

"Now it's about getting him match fit again. We don't know yet if he will play against Newcastle, because we have to get everyone together first. Then we will decide who is in the selection."

The 24-year-old Bergwijn injured his ankle more than a month ago in the Dutch national team's World Cup qualifying match with Turkey (6-1 win).

He missed the last five games of the 'Spurs' and was not in the Orange squad last week for the duels with Latvia and Gibraltar.

Despite Bergwijn's return, Nuno still struggles with personnel problems.

According to British media, two players have tested positive for the corona virus, which means they have to miss the duels with Newcastle United and Vitesse.

It is not clear which two players are involved.

Tottenham will visit Vitesse on Thursday in the third round of the group stage of the Conference League.

The English club is on the basis of goal difference with four points in the top of Group G of the Conference League.

Vitesse is on three points thanks to a victory over Mura.
