21-year-old Ferran Torres scored national team goals number eleven and twelve in the 2-1 victory against Italy in the Nations League semi-final last week, but was eliminated at the beginning of the second half with a foot injury.

Despite pain, he then played 84 minutes in the final loss against France on Sunday.

Now the Spanish sports magazine Marca reports that a medical examination, which was done when Ferran Torres returned to Mancehster, shows that he has suffered a minor fracture in his foot.

According to Marca, the initial convalescence period is estimated at at least one and a half months.

Considering that Spain will meet Greece away on November 11 and then face Sweden at home three days later, in other words, it will take a lot for Ferran Torres to be in the World Cup qualifiers.

Before the last two matches, Sweden tops the group with 15 points - Spain is two points behind.

Depending on how things go for Sweden away against Georgia and Spain away against Greece, a decisive duel can await at the Estadio de La Cartuja in Seville between Spain and Sweden on 14 November.

Only the group one goes directly to the WC, for the second it will be a playoff game.
