His current relationship with the “round witch” is limited to the support of his two sons, the players Ali and Salem

Issam Dahi: "bodybuilding" is a young wish... and I did not hesitate to become a professional after I retired from the ball

The former star of the Al-Nasr team, and the youth and Al-Ahly teams (now Al-Ahly youth), Issam Dahi, confirmed that his conversion to the sport of bodybuilding after retiring from football was a young wish that he sought to achieve.

Pictures and videos of Issam Dahi (38 years old), during his participation in bodybuilding competitions in the previous period, spread.

He told "Emirates Today": "I never thought of becoming a football player, so I turned more to bodybuilding, but my father had another desire for me to wear the youth shirt, and I responded to his desire without hesitation."

He added: “My relationship with body building was not interrupted, but its practice was intermittent, specifically in the summer, as I went to the gyms to keep my body in harmony, and satisfy the desire for a sport that football did not forget me, so once I retired from the ball I did not hesitate for a moment to Professional bodybuilding, and give it more time.”

He continued, "I was training on a daily basis like any amateur individual, until I was discovered by the well-known bodybuilding player and trainer Issa Obaid, who convinced me to expand in this field, professionalize the game, and participate in local tournaments, as he saw my physical capabilities that help me do that, and I was convinced of the idea, and indeed I participated in four local tournaments, and achieved satisfactory results, and I look forward to participating in other tournaments in the future.”

He explained, "I have great ambitions to become the UAE champion in bodybuilding, join the national team, and participate in international tournaments, and I am working on this matter in the current period, through training strongly, because I see that practicing any sport without motivation or ambitions is a very negative thing." ». Regarding the hours of training he spent in the gym, to transform his body into the image it is currently in, he said: “I train five times a week, at a rate of 60 to 75 minutes per class, and the important thing in bodybuilding is not the number of hours of training, as much as nutrition and rest times. The player must obtain it, and this is what I have been keen on for years.” Regarding the financial cost that he spends on building bodies, he explained: “The cost varies from time to time, and according to my commitments. For example, before any local championship, I spent about 10 thousand dirhams, and the cost decreases at other times, as most of those amounts are spent on proteins.” . On his current relationship with football, he said:“I moved away from football, whether at the training or administrative level, and became more attached to bodybuilding, and the only thing that connected me with it are my two sons (Ali and Salem) who play in Al-Nasr, and I always give them advice to become well-known football players.”
