Morocco and Senegal are the first to qualify for the final round of the African World Cup qualifiers

The Moroccan and Senegalese teams became the first to qualify for the final round of the African qualifiers leading to the 2022 World Cup, with the first defeating Guinea 4-1 in a postponed match of the second round, and the second over Namibia 3-1 in the fourth round.

The Moroccan team booked its ticket to the last round of the qualifiers by achieving its fourth victory in four matches against Guinea in Rabat, in a postponed match from the second round of Group Nine.

Morocco's goals were scored by Turkey's Hatay Sport wing Ayoub Kaabi (21), Belgian Standard Liege player Salim Amlah (42 and 65), Angers winger Sofiane Boufal (89), while Mamadou Kanye scored an honorary goal for Guinea (31).

Morocco raised its score to 12 points with the full score, eight points behind second-placed Guinea-Bissau, with two rounds remaining.

Although the match was played in Rabat, Morocco was a visitor as Guinea chose to play there due to the political situation in the country.

Morocco opened the scoring after a cross from Paris Saint-Germain player Ashraf Hakimi from the right side, and found Ryan Mayi, who bounced his header from the crossbar, but Al Kaabi followed it with another header into the net (21).

Contrary to the course of the match, Guinea managed to equalize with a 25-yard Kanye shot that hit defender Roman Sais and deceived goalkeeper Yassine Bounou (31).

This is the first goal that the Atlas Lions have conceded in the qualifiers.

Three minutes before the end of the first half, Morocco regained precedence with a header from Amlah (42).

From a corner kick, Malah strengthened his country's progress with a shot in the net (65), before Boufal ended the match with a wonderful back kick, from which he scored the fourth goal (89).

In the other match, the Senegalese team owes the victory to Turkish Alanyaspor player Famara Didio, who scored a hat-trick (22, 51, 84), while South African Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Chaluleli scored Namibia's orphan goal (27).

With this victory, Senegal raised its tally to 12 points, eight points behind second-placed Namibia, two rounds before the end of the competitions.
