Egyptian security cancels Al-Ahly star's wedding

The star of the football team in the Egyptian Al-Ahly Club, Mohamed Magdy Afsha, surprised his fans and friends by canceling his wedding, which was based today, Tuesday, in his hometown of Nahia village in Giza Governorate, based on security instructions in light of measures to limit the spread of the Corona virus.

Magdi Afsha wrote through his account on the social networking site “Instagram”: “Praise be to God, God predestined and what he wills. I would like to thank all my family and friends who sent me congratulations.”

He added, "I was hoping that we would celebrate together, but the law must be respected and commitment to the security of our country, the health of our country and the health of our people in the first place. Thank you, your joy and my connection in everything."

Afsha had taken a leave from the technical staff of Al-Ahly Club, led by South African coach Pitso Mosimane, because of his preoccupation with the preparations for his wedding.

Over the past days, banners have spread in Afsha's hometown, welcoming the guests of joy and inviting all the villagers, friends and relatives of the player and his neighbors to attend the wedding.

Al-Ahly club is preparing to face Union Sportif, the champion of Niger, on October 15, in the framework of the 32nd round of the African Champions League 2021-2022.
