Linn Blohm has been one of Sweden's foremost handball players in recent years.

In 2019, she was selected to the World Cup's all-star team and in 2020, she was named player of the year by the Swedish Handball Association for the first time.

And this summer, the reward came when the moving load went from Baia Mare in Romania to Hungary and the top team Györi.

- All training gives extreme development and I always have extremely good players around me.

It is a really fun environment to be in, says Linn Blohm to SVT Sport.

"Winning the Champions League is a dream"

Blohm, who came to his new club with minor injuries, made his debut in mid-September.

The midfielder scored four goals when Györi beat Vasas 41-21.

Györi is currently ranked as the world's best club team by the European Handball Federation and is the favorite to take home the Champions League this season.

- That was why I went there, because the club's goal is to win everything that can be won.

To win the Champions League is a dream.

Blohm has always dreamed of playing in one of the very best teams - but it has not always been obvious that she would get there.

Had children in 2018

In 2018, her son Wilton was born and the 29-year-old was unsure of what form she would return to.

- In recent years, I have performed at a good level, which has made it open up and then I have believed in it even more.

But when I had children, I started thinking, 'How will it go now?

Will I return to the same level after pregnancy? ”.

So there have been things along the way that have made me feel that it might not be like this.

What does it mean that the club that Györi wants you in their team?

- It is a confirmation that others think I do well and believe in one.

It gives a lot of confidence.
