The President of Brazil: They prevented me from attending a league match because I was not vaccinated against “Corona”

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro said he was not allowed to attend the Santos-Gremio match in the local soccer league on Sunday, as the host decided not to attend fans who do not receive a Corona virus vaccine.

The match was the first for Santos at home in the presence of fans since the outbreak of the Corona virus, and the club stressed the presence of fans who received vaccinations or who submitted a negative test result for the Corona virus.

"I wanted to watch the Santos game and I was told that I should get the coronavirus vaccine," Bolsonaro said in a video posted by Metropolis news website. Why?".

Bolsonaro, who refused to be vaccinated and urged others to follow in his footsteps, claimed he had antibodies because he had previously contracted the coronavirus.

It was not clear if Bolsonaro, a Santos fan, had tried to attend the match or if it was a general complaint against the need to vaccinate against the coronavirus.

A Santos spokesman said he had not been contacted by the presidency and that all fans should follow the country's health regulations.

Brazil witnessed the death of more than 600,000 people with the Corona virus.
