Al-Ahly of Egypt honors Hassan Hamdi and Hassan Mostafa by giving them the golden necklace

The board of directors of the Egyptian Al-Ahly Club decided to award the club’s golden necklace to Hassan Hamdy, the former club president, and Hassan Mostafa, president of the International Handball Federation.

Al-Ahly stated on its official website, today, Monday, that the board of directors decided to grant Hassan Hamdi, the former club president, the Al-Ahly golden necklace, in appreciation of his giving in more than 50 years he spent in serving the club in various positions as a player, football manager, supervisor of the first team and a member of the club’s board of directors. Treasurer, agent and vice president of the club, and then as president of the club from 2002 to 2014.

Al-Ahly added in his statement: “The board of directors also decided to award Dr. Hassan Mostafa, president of the International Handball Federation, the Al-Ahly gold necklace, as well, in appreciation of his great giving to Al-Ahly club, as a player and coach for the first handball team, and what he presented to Egyptian and international sports in many local positions. And the continental, both as president of the Egyptian Handball Federation, then the Secretary-General of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, until he took over the presidency of the International Handball Federation since 2000 and for 6 consecutive sessions that continue until now.

Al-Ahly added that the club’s board of directors decided to hold a ceremony in honor of both great symbols on October 20.
