"We realize that the French Games must necessarily bring something new," said Tony Estanguet.

Tony Estanguet wants France to offer on this occasion "a new model" of the Olympic Games.

"We can no longer justify building sports equipment just for a competition that lasts only a few weeks. We want to halve carbon emissions," he said.
