France won the League of Nations by beating Spain this Sunday, October 10 in Milan.

The Blues succeed Cristiano Ronaldo in Portugal.

After a first period without a chance, the two teams moved up a gear.

Spain opened the scoring with Oyarzabal and Karim Benzema equalized before Kylian Mbappé doubled the lead.

In the 63rd minute, Benzema hit the crossbar and the ball bounced just in front of the goal line.

Just after, Spain found the solution with Oyarzabal who opened the scoring (64th).

Two minutes later, Benzema put France right side up with a curled shot that ended in Unai Simon's top corner.

The Real Madrid player, designated man of the match, scores his 33rd goal for the France team, which puts him only one length behind David Trezeguet, fifth top scorer in the history of the Blues.

And Benzema won his first trophy with the Blues ...

Tonight, it was not until the second half to see the two teams surrender blow for blow, after a sterile first period, without opportunity.

Even if Benzema, launched to the extreme limit of offside by Paul Pogba, appeared alone against Unai Simon from the 6th minute.

A France team dominated in the first period

After a disappointing Euro last summer, France once again tastes a final and victory.

After turning the situation around against Belgium in the semi, the reigning world champions hope to continue riding the wave.

As against the Red Devils, the second goal is signed Mbappé.

The Parisian doubled the lead in the 80th minute, when he appeared slightly offside.

Video assistance validates the goal, to the chagrin of the Spaniards.

Hugo Lloris, never called upon during the first, saves the house several times at the end of the game (88th, 90th +4), and the Blues hold out until the final whistle.

Oyarzabal tries a volley from the left which forces the French goalkeeper to pull out all the stops (88th).

The Blues tamed a Roja falling from the Italian European champions, in the semifinals, by displaying an unfailing strength of character, failing total control.

This League of Nations allows the French to glean a new title, a little over a year before the next World Cup in Qatar.

What to restore confidence to the men of Didier Deschamps, who will put their title of world champions on the line. "

We are always thirsty for titles

", said Paul Pogba at the end of the meeting.

It is not Benzema who will contradict him.
