Karlsson succeeded with "the impossible" when she sprinted down Johaug on the riot in Holmenkollen's three miles in the World Cup in March 2020.

Since?

Zero World Cup victories.

Before this season, the Swede has changed her mind a bit with her training - and is now revealing how she will crack the giant Johaug in the track.

"Dominated"

- Before, I have always only looked at myself, my own strengths and weaknesses.

But somewhere there is someone who has dominated for several years and that is Therese, and then you have to check a bit "how should I be able to beat her?", Says Karlsson to SVT Sport and continues:

- I have seen that if I can hang with her to the riot, I can take her, and then I have to keep up.

So I have trained a lot uphill.

The 22-year-old has focused on both basic physics and technical pieces.

"Higher frequency"

- We have quite different technology when it comes to steep slopes.

She runs much higher frequency on, for example, skating, a little more let the ski go.

I might step a little more, says Frida Karlsson.

- I have needed to be more stable to be able to lie on and not lose.

On the diagonal I get easily running, it's because I do not really dare to push the ski down in every step, she continues.

The World Cup premiere will take place in Ruka, Finland on 26 November.
