France, the world champions, will meet Spain in the UEFA Nations League final at the San Siro stadium in Milan on Sunday.

The match comes after France qualified at the expense of Belgium 3-2, while Spain beat Italy 2-1 in the semi-finals of the competition.

Here we review 5 questions before the upcoming match.

Can the French attack trio be stopped?

It is difficult to think of a team with more attacking power than the France trio of Kylian Mbappe, Karim Benzema and Antoine Griezmann, and Spain will have to find a way to disrupt them.

Before the final against Belgium last Thursday, Mbappe and Benzema formed a cooperative duo and looked for each other regularly, while Griezmann played flexibly behind them.

Spain's defense coped well enough with Italy's attack in the semi-finals, but Mbappe's speed, Benzema's ferocity in front of goal and Griezmann's skills meant a different test.

French-born Aymeric Laporte is expected to play alongside Pau Torres at the heart of Spain's defence, and it will be interesting to see any tactical shifts by coach Luis Enrique to meet any challenges posed by his counterpart Didier Deschamps.

What are the most prominent weapons of Spain?

Mikel Oyarzabal and Pablo Sarabia have caused countless problems for Italy's defense with their speed and prowess, and with striker Ferran Torres as Spain's most dangerous weapons, Luis Enrique will hope to repeat the same performance.

French full-backs Benjamin Pavard and Theo Hernandez played in advanced roles, and provided superb attacking support. Pavard even set up Hernandez's goal during the last-minute victory at Juventus Stadium.

But will Deschamps ask them to maintain the same attacking depth while observing the Spanish wings, or will the defense trio be expected to play only the main roles?

If he prefers the second option, he will most likely push Luca Hernandez on the left with the triple defense and Jules Conde on the right, with Raphael Varane at the heart.

To what degree will Kante's absence affect?

Frenchman N'Golo Kante is probably the best defensive midfielder in the world, and his absence due to "Covid-19" will clearly weaken this area.

Paul Pogba and Adrien Rabiot coped well against Belgium, but Spain's passing style will put their defensive discipline to the test and it's important not to leave spaces behind.

Will Wonder Boy shine again?

The performance of 17-year-old Barcelona midfielder Gabi in his first match with Spain was one of the most impressive moments during the semi-final victory, and although he played only 3 matches with his club, he showed the persistence of a veteran player.

Will Luis Enrique allow the youngest international player in the history of his country to start the final?

And if he decides to do so, will he play with the same calm as he did against Italy?

If the Spain coach wants a more conservative performance, he may have to pick Rodri, the defensive midfielder for Manchester City.

Is Torres a threat?

Although he is not a clear striker or spearhead of the squad, Ferran Torres won this role against Italy and scored two winning goals.

Torres, who was usually known as a winger, played in the center of the attack with his coach Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, and gradually got used to this position.

But he will face one of the best defenders in Varane, and France will hope to avoid his bites in front of goal.
