Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo won the Player of the Month award for the month of September in the English Premier League after his brilliance with the "Red Devils" and scoring three goals in three matches last month.

The Portuguese striker scored a double against Newcastle in his first appearance in the United shirt after returning to the club, and then scored the first goal in the West Ham match at the London Stadium a week later.

Ronaldo won the award at the expense of the Egyptian Mohamed Salah, the giant of Liverpool, who was all expected to win the award in front of his remarkable brilliance and scoring goals until some went to nominate him to be the best player in the world at the end of the season if he continued at the same pace of performance.

It is noteworthy that the award is given to the player who gets the highest percentage of fans' votes on the English Premier League website, in addition to the vote of a committee comprising of football experts.

Ronaldo's brilliance with Manchester United was not limited to the English Premier League, as he was chosen as the Player of the Month for September in Manchester United, after scoring two goals in the Champions League this season, the first against Young Boys and the second was decisive and fatal against Villarreal.
