Mahmoud Waheed and Salah Mohsen were injured in Al-Ahly’s training session

Ahmed Abu Abla, head of the medical staff for the first football team in Al-Ahly Club, confirmed today, Saturday, that Mahmoud Waheed, the left back of the team, suffers from an injury to the internal ligament of the knee.

In statements to his club's official website, Abu Abla said that Waheed had x-rayed to check on his injury, and would start implementing a physiotherapy program in order to recover from it.

He added that the player is doing very well in his rehabilitation program, and he needs a period of time that extends to 5 days to announce his readiness to gradually return to group training.

He explained that Salah Mohsen, the team's striker, left the team's training session today due to a slight bruise in the ankle during the training session.

He said that the medical staff preferred to rest the player, and he will undergo a medical examination before the team's training starts tomorrow, to check on his condition.

Abu Abla confirmed that the bruise suffered by Mohsen is light, and he will be ready to a large extent to be present normally in group training tomorrow after undergoing a medical examination.

Al-Ahly is preparing to face the National Guard, the champion of Niger, in the first leg of the 32nd round of the African Champions League.
