Choi “Korean Tank” Kyung-ju (51), who became the first Korean to win the PGA Champions Tour Tournament, returned to Korea on the morning of the 28th.

In a return interview today, Choi Kyung-joo said, "Every time I come to Korea, I get excited, but this time, I won the championship and came back home, which made it even more valuable."

Kyung-Ju Choi became the first Korean to win the PGA Champions Tour Pure Insurance Championship, which ended yesterday in Monterey, California, USA.

The PGA Champions Tour is a stage where players 50 and older compete for their skills.

Kyung-Joo Choi has won the PGA Tour tournament for the first time in 10 years and 4 months since the PGA Tour Players Championship in May 2011.

After winning the championship, Kyung-Joo Choi got on the plane to Korea and, without taking a breath, participates in the KPGA Korean Tour Hyundai Marine & Marine Invitational, which opens in Yeoju, Gyeonggi-do on the 30th.

He said, "The goal is to pass the cut," he predicted.

Choi Kyung-joo was also concerned, saying, "The course was set up difficult, and the skills of the juniors are not the same as before, so it will not be easy."

The most recent case in which Kyung-Joo Choi won the KPGA Korean Tour was at the CJ Invitational in October 2012, nine years ago.

Choi Kyung-ju, who is challenging his 17th win on the KPGA Korean Tour in this tournament, said, "I hope this win will be a little comfort and joy for many people who are going through a lot of things they have never experienced in a difficult situation due to Corona 19." It's a pity that I couldn't be a spectator, but I hope the day will come when I can play with the fans again as soon as possible and enjoy exciting shots and great games together."

Choi Gyeong-ju, who returned home today, moved to a separate location in accordance with the Corona 19 quarantine rules, and is scheduled to digest the official schedule after the Corona 19 test results are released.
