Sharjah flies to Alexandria to participate in the Arab Clubs Basketball Championship

The delegation of the basketball team in the Sharjah Club left today, Sunday, for the city of Alexandria in Egypt, representing the Emirates Basketball team, next to Al-Bataeh, in the Arab Champions Clubs Championship in its 33rd edition, which will be held from September 29 to October 10.


The Sharjah mission included 13 players, the internationals Jassim Muhammad, Rashid Al Zaabi, Omar Al Ameri, Hamid Hashel, Mubarak Khalifa, Muhammad Mahmoud and Asad Ahmed, in addition to the young elements with Muhammad Tawfiq, Hamad bin Thani, Khaled Khamis, Hazza Omar, and those behind them. American professionals Alexander Yang, Dexter Bateman, and Senegalese Sidi Cheikh, who is on the resident player list.


Sharjah is playing the preliminary round of the tournament, in the second group competition, with the "King" starting its first match on the 30th of this month with the Qatari Al-Wakra meeting, followed the next day by facing Al-Zahra of Tunisia, then the Greek-Sudanese, and the last of which is the Kuwaiti Yarmouk.


Sharjah, led by expert national coach Abdul Hamid Ibrahim, aspires to repeat his achievement in 2011, when the "King" was crowned with the title of the Arab Championship, which was held at the time in Abu Dhabi.
