Officially .. Zamalek determines its position on French coach Carteron

Zamalek, the Egyptian Football League champions, officially announced, on Friday, the extension of the contract of its French coach, Patrice Carteron, for three seasons.


The club said in an official statement: "The committee in charge of managing the club, headed by Hussein Labib, succeeded in renewing the contract with Patrice Carteron, coach of the team, for the next three seasons, after the Frenchman won the Premier League championship with the team."


He added, "The committee seeks to impose a kind of technical stability on the team in the next stage to win more championships, especially since the club hopes to win the African Champions League in its next edition, and then qualify for the Club World Cup while retaining the Premier League trophy."


Carteron (51 years) led Zamalek to win the African Super Cup at the expense of Tunisia's Esperance, the champion of the African Champions League in Doha, with a score of 3-1, and the local Super Cup for the 2018-2019 season, at the expense of Al-Ahly, the league champion, on penalties in Abu Dhabi in February 2020, in addition to He led him to the semi-finals of the African Champions League before he resigned from his position to supervise the training of Saudi Al-Taawun.


Carteron returned to lead Zamalek last March and led him to the league title for the thirteenth time in its history and the first since 2014.
