Jong PSV lost 0-1 at home to ADO Den Haag in the Keuken Kampioen Division on Monday.

A boost for the Eindhoven team was the substitute of Maxi Romero, who made his comeback after more than a year of injury.

The moment the Argentine striker entered the field, the final score was already on the board.

The Belgian Samy Bourard successfully completed a fine attack by ADO three minutes before the break.

Halfway through the second half, Ruud van Nistelrooij, trainer of Jong PSV, sent Romero into the field.

The 22-year-old striker tore his cruciate ligament in September last year when PSV faced NS Mura in Slovenia in the preliminary round of the Europa League.

A week earlier, he had helped his team to victory against FC Emmen (2-1) with his first goal in the main squad.

ADO kept Romero from scoring and thus settles into the sub-top of the Kitchen Champion Division.

With thirteen points from seven games, only Jong AZ (15) and Jong FC Utrecht (14) and Excelsior (13, with a better goal difference) are above the formation of trainer Ruud Brood.

However, there is a dark cloud hanging over the ADO, which is struggling with takeover troubles.

The team has been deducted six points from the KNVB, but has lodged an appeal against it.

Jong PSV does not play a role in the top of the ranking. With seven points, the team is disappointingly sixteenth.
