Unknown persons smashed windows of the front door of Feyenoord director Mark Koevermans in the night from Saturday to Sunday.

The Rotterdam police informed

The abbreviation RJK, which stands for Rotterdam Youth Core, was also sprayed on the front door with a spray can.

Feyenoord does not want to comment further on the matter.

General director Koevermans has been under fire for some time from some of the Feyenoord supporters.

The director is a champion of the Feyenoord City project.

According to that plan, a new Kuip is to be built on the Maas.

In the night from Saturday to Sunday, the house of a member of Vrienden aan de Maas was also defaced.

This group supports Feyenoord City.

Earlier this year, Friends aan de Maas chairman Alexander van der Lely resigned due to threats and architect Ard Buijsen was visited at home by rioters.

The possible arrival of a new stadium has kept Feyenoord's supporters busy for years.

Many supporters do not like a switch and want to stick to the current Kuip.

According to the club management, a new stadium is essential for the development of Feyenoord.

The new construction plans involve 444 million euros.

If everything goes ahead, construction could start next year.
