Portuguese striker Joao Felix was dismissed from the pitch, about a quarter of an hour after he came on as a substitute in the match that brought his team Atletico Madrid against Athletic Bilbao, yesterday, Saturday, in the fifth stage of the Spanish Football League.

Felix entered the field in the 60th minute as a substitute for Angel Correa, and only a quarter of an hour passed until referee Gil Manzano issued a yellow card in the player's face after contact with an opponent.

It seemed that the Portuguese player did not accept the referee's decision, and said, "You are crazy," to protest and express his anger at the decision.

The referee did not delay in displaying a second yellow card in the player's face, and sent him off on an evening that was the worst in Felix's career since joining Atletico Madrid in 2019.

According to press reports, the Portuguese striker is threatened with a ban for between 4 and 12 matches, due to his behavior with the referee.
