Leonardo, the sporting director of Paris Saint-Germain, denied all speculation about the value of the contract of Argentine star Lionel Messi.

The French newspaper, L'Équipe, reported on Friday that Messi will receive 30 million euros (about 35 million dollars) per year through his 3-year contract with Saint-Germain.

According to the same newspaper, the total value of the contract amounts to 110 million euros, including bonuses for loyalty.

But Leonardo responded angrily to this report, indicating that he could not reveal the real details of the contract due to its confidentiality, but at the same time confirmed that the contract extends only two seasons.

And Leonardo - in the press conference - referred to the confrontation with Olympique Lyon, saying, "We cannot accept the publication of this on the home page of a newspaper like L'Equipe."

"This is unacceptable, it is completely wrong, I wanted to tell you that," he added.

He continued, "I think it is a lack of respect, we did not like it, I do not understand the timing of its publication. It is far from the truth, about the duration of the contract and its value, there are confidential clauses, but I can say that it is not the truth, the contract extends for two years."

It should be noted that Messi joined Saint-Germain for free last month after the end of his contract with Barcelona.
