Johan Fransson would just take a ride on the motorcycle in the beautiful summer weather.

But it became something completely different.

Johan Fransson crashed hard and landed on his neck.

In the interview with Dalarnas Tidningar, he does not want to talk in such detail about what happened.

- I do not like to talk about what happened, because it still hurts so much to think about.

But I can say so much that it is not good to land on your neck, says Fransson to Dalarnas Tidningar, and continues:

- When it happened, I was absolutely sure that I had broken my neck.

I have no idea how long it took before I got the feeling back, but when I woke up afterwards I felt neither my legs nor my arms.

In the accident, Fransson suffered small fractures to two cervical vertebrae, as well as bleeding and ligament injuries.

This means that he is still forced to wear a support collar around the clock.

"Had a fucking turn"

Johan Fransson spent almost the whole of August in hospital.

Mostly at Falu Hospital but also at the University Hospital in Uppsala for specialist care.

Now he is at home with the family in Leksand again.

There are difficult times and mental challenges, but he is grateful for life.

- I am eternally grateful that I did so well, despite the circumstances I feel quite fine.

I am happy, happy and grateful that I can go and have full mobility.

You have to buy some pain, because I had a fucking turn.

Johan Fransson says that the focus is on getting back to everyday life.

But the dream is still of a comeback.

- In the beginning, I happened completely in hockey, because if I want to find my way back to a good life in everyday life, I have to put all my energy into my rehab.

But I probably dream of taking myself back to the ice, I would be lying if I said otherwise, he says.
