Chelsea and England defender Reece James revealed that last season's Champions League trophy was stolen, as well as the runner-up medal at Euro 2020, during a burglary at his home.

The burglary took place at the 21-year-old's home, while he was playing with his team against Russia's Zenit in the Champions League last Tuesday, a match that ended with Chelsea winning 1-0.

James turned to social media asking for help in finding the culprits, who also stole a locker containing the Super Cup medal he recently crowned with his team.

James wrote, with the publication of 4 videos of the incident, "These medals I got when I was playing with Chelsea and the England national team, titles that cannot disappear from my history even if I do not have medals to prove it."

"However, I am asking Chelsea fans and the England national team to help identify these perpetrators, who will never be at ease with the mounting evidence against them."

"The police, advisers, Chelsea Football Club and the others are standing behind me because I have strong evidence about the identity of the perpetrators and we are close to them," James said.

"Fortunately no one was present during the robbery, but I would like to assure you that I am fine," the England defender added.

James, who grew up in the Chelsea academy, has become a key element in the team in the last two seasons, and has participated in 4 games this season under the leadership of German coach Thomas Tuchel.
