The US Players' Association criticizes the association: "A PR stunt"

The US Soccer Association announced yesterday that they have presented an identical contract proposal to the ladies as to the men.

On social media, the players' association calls the proposal a PR stunt.

"The union's PR stunt and negotiation through the media will not bring us closer to a fairer agreement.

We are instead ready to negotiate in good faith to achieve as equal compensation and the safest working conditions as possible.

The union's latest proposal does not achieve any of these ", it is written on Twitter.

In 2019, the women's national team sued the association for gender discrimination when it came to compensation and several other aspects when it came to the players' conditions.

The reigning world champions have for a long time criticized the country's football federation as it is believed that the ladies receive less compensation and worse conditions despite the team having achieved greater success than the men.
