For their entry into the Champions League, the PSG players were held to a 1-1 check by Club Bruges.

If Messi took the match in hand, the consultants of Europe 1 point to the bad match of Neymar, and annoy the poor performance of midfielders and defenders.

TO ANALYSE

It's an unexpected false start for PSG.

For their entry into the Champions League, Mauricio Pochettino's men were held in check by Club Bruges (1-1) and therefore brought only one point from Belgium, despite the trio's first of stars composed of Mbappé, Neymar, and Messi.

If it is too early to worry, such poor performances will have to be avoided in the future, in a group which also includes Manchester City and Leipzig, warn the consultants of Europe 1.

"We must try to move ... The Champions League, it happens quickly," warns former PSG coach Laurent Fournier.

"If you lose to Manchester City at the Parc des Princes, it's going to be complicated."

On the ground, the Parisian superstars have learned a good lesson in modesty.

Neymar transparent and Mbappé quickly injured, Messi took the game in hand, and even almost scored twice for his Parisian European debut.

But around him, as intoxicated by his presence, PSG saw itself too good.

A defense not up to the task

An impression shared by Laurent Fournier.

"When you have the chance to play with players who have qualities like Neymar, Mbappé, Messi, you make yourself available to the group," he said.

"There, I had the impression that the midfielders, they took themselves for Messi, for Mbappé and Neymar", he still annoys.

"Mbappé had left to make a fairly good match and Messi made a decent match, but it was the others who were very inferior", abounds the legendary former coach of AJ Auxerre, Guy Roux, who points in particular to the defensive mistakes of the players of the club of the capital. "On goal, the defense runs 30 meters towards its goal before the end of the action, and no one is going to attack the progress of the opposing team ... It is a formidable fault at this level."
