In the middle of the Champions League season, Stina Blackstenius is one of the players in Häcken whose contract with the club expires.

Interest has been shown from several different big clubs in Europe and the attacking star has also kept track of developments in the European leagues.

- It is very fun to see how many Swedes we have out in Europe and in all major teams right now.

It is an incredible development that has taken place and it is clear that my thoughts are also drawn there, that you want to be out in Europe where an incredible amount is happening right now and to play in the best leagues, says Blackstenius.

"Think the English league would suit me"

Stina Blackstenius, who moved to Montpellier in France in 2017, returned home to Damallsvenskan and Linköping just two seasons later.

But now the 25-year-old believes that she has gained more experience and feels ready to take the step out into Europe again.

- I have had a few years in Sweden now and feel that I have taken steps in my development that I hope to be able to use if the opportunity is given, says the national team star and continues:

- I am aware that there is interest and think it feels super fun.

It attracts and would be very developing for me to get out in Europe, she says.

Which league are you most attracted to?

- I must answer like many others - the English league is very interesting and exciting.

There's a lot going on there right now.

There are many teams that have taken big steps and want to invest a lot and many who invest in the entire league.

It's a league that I think would suit me as a player.

The contract expires at the turn of the year

The attacking star, who has been a key player in Häcken's European journey so far, will be clubless in the middle of a burning Champions League season.

But until the turn of the year, she belongs to Häcken and will play for Hisingslaget against big clubs in Europe.

- This was a goal we had all the time, to get into the group game and now we are there and among many great teams so we are of course very happy, says the Häcken star who says that she is currently focusing on what is in front of her.

- I try to just focus on where I am right now and right now it's the national team and then when I get home there are matches with Häcken.

So I take it step by step, she says.
