When the schedule for the World Cup qualifiers came, it was clear that Sweden only had one match planned during the October gathering.

To get further matching for the team, they therefore sought to add a training match.

It is now clear that they will meet Scotland on October 26 - five days after the World Cup qualifier against Ireland.

- It is of course important that we get to a second match during the gathering to get additional opportunities for playing time together and where we can continue to work with what we want to do well on the field.

In addition, it is good logistically to take us on to Scotland for a match after the World Cup qualifier against Ireland, says national team captain Peter Gerhardsson.

The match against Scotland will be played at St Mirren Park outside Glasgow on 26 October.

The first kick-off is at 20.05 Swedish time and SVT broadcasts the match.
