The head of the UAE and Arab Basketball Federations, Major General Ismail Al Gergawi, crowned the “Beirut” team, the Arab Women’s Basketball Club Championship, for the second year in a row, after the Lebanese team defeated the Syrian revolution with a score of “71-67” in the match that brought them together yesterday. , at the Fuheis Youth Club hall in the Jordanian capital, Amman, in the final of the 22nd edition of the championship.

The final was preceded by the third and fourth place meeting, which brought together the Jordanian women's basketball poles, during which the hosts learned the ladies of the Fuheis Club how to beat their neighbor the Orthodox women by "76-61" and win the bronze medals.

The final match came, close in level, after the Beirut players finished the first quarter with a score of (19-15), before the Syrian women succeeded in reducing the difference by gaining the advantage with the result of the second quarter (15-14), but the Lebanese women soon regained their advantage and succeeded in deciding The result of the third quarter (18-14), which did not guarantee them victory, despite the fact that the advantage of the result of the fourth and last quarter went to the revolution players with a score of (19-17).

Beirut women gave the Lebanese basketball the sixth title in history, after the 2014 and 2016 sports and home matches in 2017 and 2018.
